RyeCentral Consensus API & MCP

Live RyeCentral Consensus Scores for every rye whiskey we review, as JSON for apps and websites and as an MCP server for AI assistants. Each bottle comes with its score out of 5, confidence band and percent, number of published sources, last-verified date, key specs and current price range. The free tier needs a free key, and every answer includes the citation to show with the score.

Score /5, confidence band (Strong / Solid / Early) and percent, source count, published-ratings count, last verified, specs, price range, a one-line summary and a ready-made citation.

Not in the free tier

Flavor sliders, tasting notes, score history and change alerts. Those come with a data-partner licence.

Updated

Scores are re-verified on a rolling monthly cycle; the API reflects a new reading within the hour.

Endpoints

Send your key as Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY, as X-RyeCentral-Key: YOUR_KEY, or as ?key=YOUR_KEY.

All bottles (highest score first). Optional filters: q (name), brand, band (Strong, Solid, Early), min_score, max_price, sort (score, confidence, price, name), limit.

Tools: get_rye_consensus (look up one bottle by name or review URL) and search_rye_consensus (filter and rank by brand, confidence band, score and price). Answers come back with the RyeCentral citation and link.

Limits & terms

Per key, per hour: 120 index requests, 1,200 bottle requests and 1,200 MCP tool calls. Keys are tied to your email; keep yours private. The free tier is for showing scores with their citation.
